"Harbour Surfboards, A Retrospective" on view through September 24, 2017

SHACC Board President, Glenn Brumage helped to MC the evening
Approximately 250 attendees along with Rich's family, friends and team riders turned out to celebrate the life of shaping icon Rich Harbour and the 58 year legacy of Harbour Surfboards on Saturday, June 24! The show runs through September 24, 2017.
We plan on doing a book signing towards the closing of the exhibit for a reprinting of The Harbour Chronicles. Details will be posted as they become available.
Rich hand-made a signed, display D fin, from curly Redwood burl, that was raffled off at the opening event. It was won by former Harbour team rider and shop worker, Don Craig (These days, Don owns and operates Old Guys Rule. Don loaned SHACC some cool items for the exhibit, including his team jacket from back in the day and he had some posters printed up for the Harbour team members to sign. Rich got one, the Harbour shop got one, Don got one, one was raffled off, and SHACC has a couple for our archives. Thank you Don!). Photo: Justin Scheller
And early Harbour team rider, Mary Reinhart Carlston, won the signed poster that was also raffled off. Photo: Justin Scheller
Quiksilver produced a limited run of 100 tees that are available for purchase—while supplies last. (L, XL & XXL are already sold out) Click HERE to purchase yours!

Digital Watermarking of our images – Public Notice

As part of our commitment to protecting our image donors, the Surfing Heritage Foundation has begun using digital watermarking on ALL of our images, including those images seen on our website. This watermark is not visible to the eye, but is easily seen by many computer programs such at Photoshop and other image editing programs. In addition, we have also purchased a “watermark spider” that crawls the Internet specifically looking for any images that contain our SHF watermark. The Surfing Heritage Foundation is prepared to take the appropriate action should we find any illegal or unlicensed usage of images from our files.
